Please complete this form to submit a request to the Office of the Mayor for general inquiries including scheduling events, speaking engagements, letters and other ceremonial documents from Mayor Justin M. Bibb. Please submit your request for consideration with at least three (3) weeks’ notice. The completion of this form does not confirm acceptance. 

Please provide additional details to submit a proclamation, condolence, celebration, letter of appreciation or key to the city request. Three (3) weeks’ notice is required for celebrations and proclamations.  Four (4) days’ notice is required for condolence resolutions.

Letter of Appreciation

Letters of Appreciation are ceremonial documents that recognize an individual’s service or extraordinary achievement.

Purpose

These ceremonial declarations are issued for the following reasons:

  • Recognition of action or service above and beyond the call of duty;
  • Recognition of extraordinary achievement;
  • Supporting actions that improve the quality of life of the City of Cleveland community or
  • Raise public awareness of issues that directly affect the City of Cleveland community.

Please note, ceremonial documents do not have any legislative value. 

Proclamations

Proclamations are official announcements and/or public declarations issued by the Mayor. They are ceremonial in nature.

Purpose

These ceremonial declarations are issued for the following reasons:

  • Recognition of action or service above and beyond the call of duty;
  • Recognition of extraordinary achievement;
  • Supporting actions that improve the quality of life of the City of Cleveland community or
  • Raise public awareness of issues that directly affect the City of Cleveland community.

Key to the City

Keys to the City are an honor bestowed by the City upon distinguished persons and honored guests of the City of Cleveland. It symbolizes outstanding civic contributions of the recipients.

These ceremonial declarations are issued for the following reasons:

  • Recognition of extraordinary achievement;
  • Supporting actions that improve the quality of life of the City of Cleveland community or
  • Raise public awareness of issues that directly affect the City of Cleveland community.
